![]() For Batgirl, it’s a standard glide with her cape, but the others have wildly different methods of flight. When you’re done with all three steps, you will unlock a unique traversal ability for your character. The only way to unlock the glider for your chosen hero is to finish their Knighthood quest. ![]() Gliding across the skyline of Gotham City is a possibility, but it’s not something you can do immediately upon starting the game. These are typically too small to deserve their own guides, so we may update this FAQ in the future if other questions pop up. We’ve rounded up all your random questions about Gotham Knights’ gameplay in this story, and we’re going to answer them all. While many are straightforward enough, a few just glide under the radar, especially if you’re expecting them to function like they did in the Arkham games. Not to be reproduced without permission.Gotham Knights is not always the best at explaining some of its mechanics. Thanks to the large bounds he takes this method of transport is pretty fast, though you will gradually lose height as you travel so at some point you'll need to start grappling to gain altitude again and continue your journey. Red Hood's Knighthood traversal ability is another unusual one, as with Mystical Leap he can hop through the air on spirit platforms. The Large Grab Ability available in the same upgrade tree also lets you perform grab moves on large enemies, which can make defeating them significantly easier. The Human Bomb Ability provides a significant advantage by strapping a concussion mine to a grabbed enemy, which can then be shot to detonate it, and with enough upgrades a further six mines are dropped on explosion to help clear out crowds. Red Hood as a character is pretty much the antithesis of stealth, and although he is capable of doing some forms of silent takedown his moveset in that area is limited and is much more suited to going into with guns blazing to deal significant ranged damage. This is a rocket-powered glider which you can fly for as far as you like, even across the water between islands, and although it's not the fastest gadget in this category the freedom of movement it offers is unparalleled. Nightwing also has the most useful Knighthood traversal ability, in the form of the Flying Trapeze. Nightwing's acrobatics provide cover across a wide area, and the later Revive Darts Ability can be used once per Night Patrol to bring back a downed ally from distance, so if you're playing co-operatively it's definitely worth one of you picking them. Unlocking the initial Family Ties Ability not only increases Nightwing's defense and resistance stats, but working with other members of the Batman Family also gives additional boosts to Melee damage (Batgirl), Ranged damage (Red Hood), and Stealth damage (Robin). Nightwing does have some great moves, but what sets him apart from the other heroes is how he improves with allies. This pulls you out to an aerial view of Gotham City when activated, allowing you to move a reticule around and select where you want to beam yourself to, and although it looks cool this does have a time limit and short range so isn't practical for travelling larger distances. Robin has the most unusual Knighthood traversal ability of the Batman Family, unlocking the Slideways teleport system from the Justice League satellite. ![]() Later Abilities allow Robin to disappear completely for a brief time, allowing you to infiltrate areas or escape danger. ![]() Robin is also the only character who can perform Batman's classic Vantage Hanging Takedown move, where you dive down to grab and suspend an enemy from a vantage point. After unlocking the Ability to move around silently while running, you can acquire Turnabout Takedown that allows you to perform Takedowns and Stealth Strikes on large enemies, which can give you a huge advantage when it comes to fighting a group of foes. Robin is an excellent choice of character if you prefer to take a sneaky approach to combat, instead of storming in hot. Free the scientists from STAR Labs in Gotham Knights
